Party Weekend

So, it is sunday evening, and i recap, where i was yesterday night:

A friend of Rob Halford had his 16 years jubilee with his rock cafe Halford, a nice location in Berlin.
I went there quite early, weather was sunny and warm, tables and chairs were outside, a grill was prepared. I hurried inside, was quite thirsty for a beer:)
2 bands were soundchecking, and i chatted with the owner, later i went outside again, talked with the grillmaster, bought a Bratwurst which tasted good. Then it was showtime:
The first band (sorry, can´ t remember the name) started with "Whole lotta Rosie" (original by AC/DC), sounded unusual, but people had fun with, some different coversongs followed. The sound was excellent, much better than i heard in many other venues before. Death Valentine followed, they played some stuff which i was remembered of The Cult, good band, had a chance to talk to their guitar player later, a friendly guy.
Meanwhile, with quite alot of beer in my belly, a Jägermeister team arrived, they gave away free Jägermeister and other goodies.
All in all, a pretty relaxing nite with good music, drinks and nice people.
Probably i will return there for a morning breakfast next sunday.

ROBIN TROWER WAS IN DA HOUSE!

This night i saw Robin Trower in the Quasimodo venue in Berlin, the club was packed.
A rock solid concert, which lasted about 1 and bit more hour. I don´t know the songs by name, but i saw Robin already 81 in Hannover. This time he was more relaxed and kewl, ppl came from the UK and Poland. One of only 4 gigs in Germany, and i was in first row!
Outside i met another friend, Alex Conti, ( the guy right on the website) one of the best guitar player in Germany.
Before Robin hit the stage, Canadian artist David Gogo played good bluesrock stuff, never heard of him before, but he and his band were workin´ hard to get the audiences attention, and he achieved it. Later i could talk to him, just bit small talk, he is a friendly guy.
If you have a chance specially in the UK, Robin is there this month, don´ t miss it! Perhaps the last time in Europe! K, i post a vid from a statesite gig:
